Li is a historian, filmmaker, and assistant professor in the Department of the History of Medicine of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, with joint appointments in the Program in East Asian Studies and the Department of the History of Science and Technology. Li coproduces several podcasts and exhibitions, including Blue Beryl, Metaphors of the Mind, and Point Break.
