Part 1 An introduction to creative expression through drama: getting to know you; communication; eye contact; listening; concentration; trust; memory; feelings; sounds and rhythm; basic improvisation. Part 2 Progressing and developing the work - exploring theatre skills; introducing or finding a theme; building confidence and presentation; progressing from movement to dance; discovering your voice; status and mime; style; building a character; using the right words (technical terms for actors and director); recording and listening to your voice; videoing and watching yourself. Part 3 Working towards a performance or showing of work; the rehearsal process and final show. Part 4 Finding a theme for performance; examples of themes and texts, ways of helping a group find its own theme. Section 5 - working with people with profound disabilities.
