Description

Join cousins Kamali and Josiah in exploring how the world outside is transformed by snow In Snow Sparkles, two young children play on a beautiful wintry day. Their city neighborhood is quiet under the blanket of snow as they explore animal tracks and deep drifts. Guided by their curiosity, cousins Kamali and Josiah notice that every snowflake is different, each sparkling in its own unique way. From making snow angels to soaring down a hill on sleds, there are so many fun things to do in wintertime! Snow Sparkles: Encourages children to explore the beauty of the natural world-no matter where they live Celebrates diverse communities and the many ways people flourish Sparks conversations about uniqueness, individuality, and community Includes discussion ideas and activities to help children learn more about nature and their own senses This book is part of the Outside Our Window Board Books series, which encourages children-especially those in urban environments-to explore, protect, and delight in nature. Each book in the series focuses on one feature of the natural world, one sense, and one communication or relationship skill. The books emphasize community and encourage children and families to explore the natural world around them.
